While Gerald has joined the summer school as a student in 2011, this year he returned to give a lecture which presented an analysis of the main discourses within the governance structures of the Barents Cooperation and the Arctic Council, how they relate to the founding motifs of these cooperatoins, and to discuss prevailing power relations within them, with a particular focus on national interests and well-being of northern communities.
